Whole Blood Donation

Whole blood donation is what people typically think of when they picture donating blood. Once donated, whole blood can either be transfused or separated into components. As many as three lives are saved every time you donate whole blood!

Platelet Donation

Platelets prevent bleeding and cause blood to clot. They’re necessary for patients who experience bleeding during surgery or when receiving treatment for cancer. It takes up to 10 normal blood donations to match the platelets from one platelet donation. That’s what makes these donors so special.

Double Donation

Want to make double the impact? Consider making a double red cell donation. This type of donation is excellent for donors on a busy schedule. Double red cells can be given every 112 days instead of every 56 days.

When Bruce learned the benefits of platelet donations for cancer patients, he became a dedicated platelet donor. In loving memory of his wife, Bruce continued to contribute for the rest of his life, leaving an inspirational legacy of saving lives for the entire community.
